Accessibility Statement

We want everyone to be able to explore Rydrex Cloud, whether they browse with a mouse, a keyboard, a screen reader, screen magnification or reduced-motion settings.

This statement explains what is built into the website, what still needs work, and how the website has been tested.

In short

  • The website is designed and built with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
  • It supports keyboard navigation, visible focus, a skip link and screen-reader labels for links that open in a new tab.
  • Turning on your device’s reduce-motion setting simplifies the animation and switches off scroll-pinned scenes, smooth scrolling and the custom cursor.
  • It hasn’t been independently audited yet, and testing so far has been in Chromium.

Our approach

This website is designed and built with reference to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, the international standard for accessible web content.

The statement covers the Rydrex Cloud website at rydrex.cloud, including its homepage and policy pages. It doesn’t cover the Rydrex product websites at sites.rydrex.cloud (opens in a new tab), apps.rydrex.cloud (opens in a new tab) and clips.rydrex.cloud (opens in a new tab), which are separate platforms.

Conformance status

No independent accessibility audit has been carried out yet, so we don’t claim that the website fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 or to any other standard.

What is built in

  • Structure. Landmarks and headings let assistive technology move between the regions and sections of each page.
  • Skip link. A ‘Skip to content’ link at the start of every page lets keyboard users bypass the navigation.
  • Keyboard access. The navigation and the full-screen menu work with a keyboard. While the menu is open, focus stays inside it, and the Escape key closes it.
  • Visible focus. A clear outline shows where you are when you move through a page with a keyboard.
  • Clear links. Links that open in a new tab say so to screen-reader users.
  • Quiet visuals. Decorative product visuals are hidden from screen readers; the text beside them carries the meaning.
  • Flexible layouts. Pages adapt to screens from 320 pixels wide, and text can be enlarged with your browser’s zoom.

Motion and animation

The website uses animation, including scenes that respond to scrolling. It follows the reduce-motion setting of your device. When that setting is on:

  • animations are simplified or removed
  • scroll-pinned scenes are replaced by still, readable layouts
  • smooth scrolling is switched off, so pages scroll in your browser’s usual way
  • the custom cursor is switched off
  • the homepage’s opening animation is replaced by a still frame

The custom cursor is only used with a mouse or trackpad. Touch devices keep their standard behaviour. You’ll usually find the reduce-motion setting in your device’s accessibility or display settings.

Known limitations

  • Product visuals. The example designs on the homepage are visual compositions. Their detail isn’t described to screen readers; the text beside each one explains what the product does.
  • Scroll-driven scenes. Some homepage sections animate as you scroll. If this is uncomfortable, turn on your device’s reduce-motion setting.
  • Testing so far. The website has been tested in the Chromium browser at screen widths from 320 to 1,920 pixels, including keyboard and reduced-motion checks. It hasn’t yet been tested in other browsers or with screen readers, and it hasn’t been independently audited.

About this statement

This statement is based on a self-assessment and on the testing described above, carried out while the website was built. It will be revised as the website changes and as further testing is completed.
